Switch Mode 4-stage Battery Chargers

WSC-1215(SB)/WSC-1230(SB) (for 12 V batteries) WSC-2408/WSC-2415 (for 24 V batteries) are high efficiency, 4 Stage Chargers which deliver 8 A, 15 A,30 A for almost 75% to 80% of the charging cycle ensuring a very fast, safe and complete charging of lead-acid batteries/GEL/AGM/LI-Ion. The nomenclature “ I Uo U” and Equalization is a DIN nomenclature and signifies the 4 charging stages – I for constant current Bulk Charge Stage 1, Uo for constant over voltage Absorption / Boost Stage 2 and U for constant voltage Float / Maintenance Stage 3 (under DIN specification, voltage is designated “U” and current is designated “I”. The subscript “o” in “Uo” signifies overvoltage). Equalization when the battery is charged and stays in Uo phase with <25% of full load current. The version with SB (starter battery function) will allow to get your starterbattery seperately charged at a current of 2 A at 13,8V.

Battery Separator

Battery Guard

The Samlex universal programmable battery guard (BG) prevents excessive discharge from the battery (which would damage the battery) and protects electronic appliances against overvoltage.  The battery guard is automatically detectable; that  means the BG can automatically select the correct  input voltage (12 or 24Vdc). A total of six models are currently available 10A (BG10), 18A (BG 18), 40A (BG 40), 60A (BG 60), 100A (BG 100) and 200A (BG 200); The mosfet is capable of carrying either 10A, 18A,  40A, 60A, 100A, 200A continuous load and up to  15A (BG 10), 25A (BG 18), 45A (BG 40), 65A (BG 60) 105A (BG 100) and 210A (BG 200) transient load.

Battery Isolator

The Samlex diode battery isolators allow for simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator, without connecting the batteries together. The battery isolator can be used, for example, in boats, recreation vehicles, trucks etc, where, in addition to a starter battery, one or two accessory batteries are also present. The battery isolators have an extremely low voltage drop because of the use of Schottky diodes; at low current the voltage drop is approximately 0,3v and at the rated output approximately 0,45V. All models are fitted with a compensation diode which can be used to slightly increase the output voltage of the alternator; this compensates for the voltage drop from the diodes inside the isolator at the output.
